The Cucurbita Sapiens Orchestra is the stage adaptation of the Cucurbita Sapiens exhibition.
With the help of several musicians, the instruments featured in the exhibition are brought into the spotlight, coming to life and telling their story through their own voices.

From dried gourds emerge sounds that brush against distant and familiar suondscapes, engaging with a wide variety of musical traditions while simultaneously inventing new ones.
Gourd masks, white noise, melodic kalimbas alongside evocative flutes, driving drums, and delicate arpeggios are the ingredients of the sonic landscape of the Cucurbita Sapiens Orchestra.

The orchestra has performed at several festivals, including Andersen and FestivAlContrario, and has also produced an album with a full ensemble, available for purchase at concerts and exhibitions.

The concert can be organized within the Cucurbita Sapiens exhibition, or presented as a standalone musical performance.
